Interview with Séverine CHARLOT-ROUGE, Head of the LALLEMAND Laboratory:

Why did you need an automatic plater?

As our business grew, we needed to increase our analyses capacity. Our reference method is plate counting. Is our reference method and this plating method is suitable for the majority of our micro-organisms.

We’ve been using a competitive spiral plater for nearly 15 years. We chose this Interscience equipment for this second workstation.

How has easySpiral Pro changed the way you work?

This equipment is compact, easy to use and user-friendly. The speed of this device is undeniable. It’s intuitive to use is as intuitive as all the Interscience equipment we know! The results are completely equivalent to those obtained with the competitor’s equipment, and we can use our two machines interchangeably, depending on availability. An added advantage is that it has a protective cover that helps to reduce the risk of cross-contamination, as we work with many different bacterial species and types. This gives us real flexibility in our organization.

Why did you choose Interscience?

We appreciate working with Interscience because the team is very familiar with our activities and constraints. Interscience knows how to adapt equipment quickly and sometimes even anticipate our needs! The fact that the equipment is made available free of charge is a real bonus.

The move towards traceability was a plus in our decision, as was the negotiation of the price with the group purchase with our Saint Simon site. Overall, we have always been satisfied with our collaboration with Interscience sales support, after-sales service, purchasing and consumable quality). We make little use of communication because we trust them and the explanations are always given by the sales/technical team. The fact that it’s made in France is also very much appreciated.
