Work with: easySpiral Dilute

Interview with Mr David LECHAUDEE, Head of VETOQUINOL’s Microbiology Development Unit:

Why did you need an automatic plater?

We had an occasional need when we had to process a large number of samples, and also for our routine pharmaceutical analyses. The aim was to reduce handling and save time.

How has easySpiral Dilute changed the way you work?

Among other things, we use it for our Challenge Tests, which saves us a lot of time in terms of execution, even if it requires intervention between each sample. The main advantage remains the technique.

We’d also like to equip ourselves with an automatic counter, with a view to connecting it to our easySpiral Dilute for traceability of our results. In my opinion, the best feature is spiral plating, which enables gradual dilution of the sample on the same plate. This provides an alternative counting solution to other techniques. What’s more, the cascade dilution ramp eliminates the need for a series of manual dilutions, saving us a considerable amount of time.

Why did you choose Interscience?

It was clearly the product’s strengths that made the difference. We’d seen other systems, but the easySpiral Dilute stood out from the competition thanks to its unique features. We were able to test it free of charge before purchasing, so we had the opportunity to try out the different functions and see if this machine met our expectations.

I’ve known Interscience for a long time, and they’re a trustworthy company with quality products. What’s more, the sales person in charge followed up our project very well and got back to us to present the automatic colony counter we’re currently testing.
