Jules Jalenques welcomes Bruno Bonnell, Secretary General for Investment France 2030.
“Mr Bruno Bonnell had already visited us at the plant in 2018. At the time, there were around fifty of us on the Puycapel site. Founder of Infogrames, France’s historic video game company, he is now in charge of France 2030 to support French industrial development. The Prefecture identified us as ’one of Cantal’s jewels’, a ’nugget’ as he repeated several times during the visit. A former company director, he perfectly understood the problems faced by a leading-edge company like ours, and was very impressed by our organization and our work. Emmanuel Jalenques and Jules Jalenques, along with all employees at the plant and R&D center, were honored to receive Bruno Bonnell, Secretary General for Investment France 2030, Laurent Buchaillat, Prefect of Cantal, and Elodie Mareau, Sub-Prefect, Olivier GIL, Michel Teyssedou, President of the Communauté de Communes de la Chataigneraie Cantalienne, Jean-Pierre Verbiguié, Nathalie Becoulet, Valérie Semeteys, François Danemans, Mayor of Puycapel and Marthe Lavaissière, Deputy Mayor, during the visit.

Family-owned Interscience/Interlab, was founded in 1979 by François Jalenques and started up in a renovated 18th-century barn, now employs 180 people, including 100 at the Puycapel site where the company has its roots.
The company has subsidiaries in the United States, China, Singapore, Japan and Germany. Specializing in microbiology, the company’s mission is to offer innovative products that make microbiological analyses more reliable for the agri-food, pharmaceutical, medical and fundamental research sectors.
Made in Cantal, 80% of production is exported to over 130 countries. The company has registered more than 70 patents since its creation, and recently launched ScanStation, an automated system for real-time bacterial analysis, propelling the company to a new stage in its development.
