Interscience is delighted to announce the support of the Auvergne - Rhône - Alpes region for the extension of its plant and R&D center, in particular for the construction of its new storage building in Puycapel, Cantal (15340), France.

This new extension, the third since the first plant was built in 2001, will increase Interscience’s production capacity.

Emmanuel Jalenques

The extension of our plant and R&D center, built on our historic Puycapel site, will enable us to consolidate our position as an innovator in the field of microbiology. We’re delighted with the support we’ve received from the local environment and the Auvergne - Rhône - Alpes region, which reinforces our commitment to the Auvergne region. We are proud to manufacture in France and export 80% of our products to over 150 countries.

explains Emmanuel Jalenques, co-CEO of Interscience

The first stone was symbolically laid on Friday 2 June 2023 on the site of the future buildings in Puycapel.

This project will also create around a hundred additional jobs in the Cantal region, as well as in its subsidiaries in the United States, China, Singapore and France.

A particular attention has been paid to the ecological footprint of the project, designed by Atelier Camino of Montsalvy, as well as its integration into the local environment.
