Test PCR Covid-19

The demand for testing to detect cases and monitor the spread of the SARS-CoV-2 (2019-nCoV) virus has increased significantly to meet current public health requirements.

The demand includes products necessary for the safe collection, transfer and storage of viral samples, such as Viral Transport Media (VTM).

Manufacturers of PCR kits for the detection of SARS-CoV-2 use the FlexiPump peristaltic pump to dispense the viral transport media in sterile tubes with screw caps to efficiently meet the high demand for tests.

Rapid preparation of VTM tubes (VTM "Viral Transport Media")

In line with recent recommendations from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), VTMs for COVID-19 testing are an integral part of the kit for PCR.

FlexiPump peristaltic pump are the ideal tool for the sterile and accurate delivery and cyclic transfer of this reagent.

Cross-contamination management

With FlexiPump peristaltic pump, the volume is programmable and allows the transfer of calibrated volumes. The sterile tubing system avoids cross-contamination of the medium required for testing.

Manon Laborie, Application Manager explains, "FlexiPump is a tool that can be adapted to different applications and today it provides support and integration into the testing kit preparation process, which is crucial in the current context."

Serial distribution in all types of containers is simplified thanks to the handy gun and the wide choice of distribution protocols of FlexiPump. Its interface is intuitive and meets the efficiency requirements of laboratories.

Made in France

FlexiPump is equipped with a powerful motor allowing the dispensing of 50 µL to 99.9 L with a flow rate of up to 2.5 L/min.

Compact, only 16 cm wide, it allows a work ergonomics adapted to all laboratories. FlexiPump, which complies with ISO 7218 standards, is manufactured by the French company INTERSCIENCE.
