Filter bag with dehydrated media

Ideal for selective enrichment

Ref 114 220 (Fraser ½ 225 mL)

instaBAG Fraser ½ is a ready-to-use filter bag which includes a dehydrated pre-dosed media, allowing a 2-in-1 process: media preparation and sample preparation for microbiological analyses. Fraser ½ is used as a medium for primary selective enrichment for the detection and enumeration of Listeria monocytogenes.

  • Filter bag with dehydrated pre-dosed media
  • Type of dehydrated media: supplemented Fraser ½
  • Filter porosity: < 250 micrometers
  • Compatible with any laboratory blender

Presentation

Your diluent ready in minutes!

instaBAG is a filter bag which includes a dehydrated pre-dosed media (supplemented Fraser ½), allowing a 2-in-1 process. Skip the time-consuming media preparation.

instaBAG - Place the sample

1. Place the sample in instaBAG

instaBAG - Add sterile water

2. Add sterile and purified water

instaBAG - Blend

3. Blend the instaBAG with the BagMixer

The filtrate is ready to be pipetted

Just add water

Ready-to-use bag with pre-dosed dehydrated media is integrated in the bag. Just add the sample and sterile and purified water. The diluent dissolves itself during blending.

Ideal for Listeria analyses

The pre-dosed dehydrated media is supplemented Fraser ½. instaBAG Fraser ½ is used for primary selective enrichment or as a diluent for the detection and enumeration of Listeria monocytogenes and Listeria spp. (ISO 11290-1, ISO 11290-2) in food and environmental samples.

The advantages of a filter bag

Filtration is done during blending. There is no need to wait for sedimentation of the debris to pipet.

The filtrate is particle-free, so there is no debris on the Petri dish. Reading is thus facilitated and the results more accurate.

Applications

instaBAG supplemented Fraser ½ is used in the food industry and public institutes research. In Fraser, it allows the suspension of solid samples of 25 g diluted at 1/10th for the detection of Listeria monocytogenes. This selective media is already supplemented and ready-to-use. It is validated according to ISO 11133.
