Automatic dilutor and plater

easySpiral Dilute is an automatic diluter and plater of Petri dishes. It allows 1/10th serial dilutions and plating up to 6 log. dilution on 1 single Petri dish. For a sample of 30 to 1 x 1012 bacteria, no more manual dilutions and plating is automatic.

The Spiral plating technique
With the Spiral plating technique, increase your analysis capabilities: without intermediate dilutions, perform standardized automatic plating with a counting range from 100 to 1 x 107 CFU/mL on 1 single Petri dish !
Manual plating method requires repetitive actions: at least 4 dilutions and 4 successive platings are necessary to obtain one good and readable Petri dish.

Exponential mode
The exponential mode is a plating in surface with a decreasing surface concentration. Plate 50 µL, 100 µL, 200 µL or program a customizable volume.
Obtain a countable Petri dish from 100 to 1 x 1012 CFU/mL
Constant mode
The constant mode is a homogenous surface deposition plating. Plate 50 µL, 100 µL, 200 µL or program a customizable volume.
Colony counting is then easy because there are no colonies on the edges of the Petri dish.
Circle mode
The circle mode is plating 3 or 6 dilutions in surface on 1 Petri dish. The volumes are 10 µL for the inner circle, 16 µL for the middle circle and 25 µL for the outer circle.

Pour mode
The pour mode is a homogeneous deposition in pour plate mode.
easySpiral Dilute deposits one sample drop at the bottom of an empty Petri dish. Then the user adds the molten agar on top and homogenizes it with the sample.
You can plate 50 µL, 100 µL, 200 µL or program your personalized volume.
Colony counting is easier in case of invasive colonies. Pharmacopea compliant.
High accuracy glass syringe
Typical accuracy of glass syringe is 0.5 %.
Higher accuracy than an ordinary pipette and no more pipet calibration.
Automatic disinfection
Overflow technology cleaning system and stylus disinfection. A light is activated in case of empty disinfecting liquid.

Applications
TheeasySpiral Dilute plater is used for enumeration during microbial control.
The Spiral plating technique allows 4 log dilutions on the same plate and the automatic dilution ramp of the device allows for the increase of the enumeration range. This technique is adapted to the realization of challenge-tests requiring several dilutions to the 10th before plating. The Spiral technique is also used for the detection of quality indicators with a criterion higher than 100 CFU/g. The ISO 4833-2 defines the use of this technique for the research of total flora.
